Versions

Release notes and documentation for published versions.

First release to come

No supported public release is announced here. Release notes will start with the first published Tournevia version.

Each published version will identify its changes, upgrade instructions and matching documentation. Older instructions will remain associated with their version, so different application behaviors are not mixed.

To evaluate the current application, follow the installation guide.

Documented development version

These guides describe Tournevia 0.8-dev at revision c0c68b4 of 5 November 2026, a development version for evaluation. Every guide shows this revision under its title.

Documentation updates

5 November 2026

The guides were reviewed against revision c0c68b4; the screenshots and videos were recorded on the development build just before it, whose screens are the same. Since the update of 3 November, the application:

  • plans with a safety margin, set by an administrator in Settings → Calculation (0 to 120 minutes, 15 by default): every delivery is planned to start at least that long before its window ends. Validation still checks the real windows, so a stop the roads cannot reach that early stays valid with a smaller margin. A delivery reachable only in its last minutes may stay unassigned, and the review says the margin may be why. Each calculation keeps the margin it used;
  • shows each stop's Margin and marks ten minutes or less, the day's Smallest margin, the waiting before a window opens, and each route's truck; the fleet table has a Size and weight column;
  • shows where each truck loads when a company has several depots or places: Ships from in Deliveries, where its truck loads and ends on each route card, and Loads and leaves on route sheets;
  • draws each route on the right of its direction, with arrows, so routes sharing a road sit side by side; depots carry a warehouse and other places a flag;
  • states the plan's approval in a band under its figures: Mark ready for a draft that can be approved, Print the route sheets and Export CSV for a Ready plan;
  • shows the import's exact header row under Columns of the file, with Download the template, and says when a file separates its columns with semicolons;
  • names equipment in words (Tail lift, Refrigerated body), shows loads in a dispatcher's units and dates in Paris time, and names saved plans by the time they were made;
  • keeps map markers, route colours and small controls readable and usable in both themes and with the keyboard, and no longer lets setup's IGN note and address source cover the checkbox label and the address field;
  • adds migration 0017_safety_margin.

The name Tournevia. The application is named Tournevia: its screens, its template files (tournevia-deliveries.csv, tournevia-vehicles.csv) and the documentation, and also:

  • the monitoring metrics tournevia_*, for example tournevia_database_ready, with the alert rules in deploy/prometheus-alerts.example.yml;
  • behind an HTTPS proxy, the API's network alias tournevia-api and the default Traefik router tournevia;
  • the guides' folder /srv/tournevia and server projects named tournevia-server-… (Install on a VPS, step by step);
  • the release signature namespace tournevia-release.

3 November 2026

The website and guides were rebuilt for the current application. Videos and screenshots are new recordings of the real application, with Transports Lemoine, a fictional company. The guides now describe:

  • two-step company setup, with the depot found by its address and the chosen language kept for the first administrator;
  • the setup guide (vehicles, delivery numbers, first deliveries) and the examples, which replace the sample workspace;
  • address-first delivery entry, IGN address search turned on by an administrator, and delivery numbering;
  • saved customers and their reviewed entrance, re-importing changed deliveries, and cancelling, restoring and deleting them;
  • vehicles’ weekly hours and days off;
  • several depots and places, with each vehicle starting from its own place;
  • drivers’ route sheets for a Ready plan, with Google Maps and Waze links;
  • migrations 0009 to 0016 and what to do after upgrading.

A sample workspace can become your company: Start with my company on the sample banner deletes the fictional records and opens the depot to place (Getting started). The messages, FAQ, security and configuration pages describe it. The VPS guide shows address lookup through IGN's public Base Adresse Nationale service on a small server, and what that sends to IGN.

20 October 2026

Install on a VPS, step by step: Tournevia behind Coolify or another HTTPS proxy that obtains the certificate, with each command as run on a 2 vCPU / 8 GB VPS shared with Coolify, its timings, backups, Coolify's Docker cleanup and updating to a new version. The configuration, security, upgrade, backup and sizing pages describe the new launcher options --behind-proxy and --routing-config.

Recommended server by scenario, from measured calculations on emulated 2, 4 and 8 vCPU servers, on the sizing page and the homepage.

Routing for all of metropolitan France: how to build the France graph, its memory and disk needs, the checks it passed, and the 200 km default limit between the points of one calculation, with the message that names the farthest places.

Optional address lookup with the installation's own copy of the Base Adresse Nationale: Find the address in the location editor, proposed coordinates for CSV rows without them, and how to install, size and secure the geocoder. Proposed points still need entrance review.

The guides were brought up to date with the application. They now describe:

  • planning another day by moving vehicle availability, and the notice that names vehicles available on another date;
  • search, filters and counts that cover the whole day or fleet, and one-step selection of every eligible record;
  • cancelling a calculation, the five-calculation limit per company and the calculation service notice;
  • saved-plan search, filters and totals, Ready conflicts, changed sources, moving a stop to Unassigned and editing over a newer version;
  • changing your own password, administrator password reset, disabling users and the appearance setting;
  • the session-expiry dialog that keeps your work, and messages shown in the interface language;
  • the dispatch CSV with coordinates, service windows and quantities;
  • the one-command upgrade, cutover to a restored copy, monitoring, and graph preparation on the installation page.

New pages: CSV formats, Messages and what to do, Frequently asked questions, Glossary, Requirements and sizing, Configuration reference, Upgrade, Backup and restore and Security.
